YOUR STORY BEGINS     The Storm came. You only remember darkness, but you don't remember much after that. All you know, perhaps, is that it was cold as you slept. You don't know for how long you slept, but the dreams were short, at least. You remember the expanse of stars and the universe that came in view. Every world and solar system ever known was displayed in your dreams in careful, pristine detail. You have also witnessed The Storm, which has devoured a fair portion of these galaxies. It was a dark, thick smog; ominous in appearance and ever foreboding. Your Earth and similar planets were immersed in The Storm. Somehow, you knew it would be the last you'd see of it. That was when she told you what happened, and how you can help. You knew that you'll be living somewhere new, even though you never asked for it. The details here weren't clear, but you knew you'd made a deal with Darma. Not long after, you'll wake at Thesa Station — Your body is still cold. It was all a dream, but somehow, you knew it wasn't — now, will you keep that promise you made to Darma? PROMPT: THE MESS HALL     It's fascinating to the Orbiters how such a dull room can be turned around so completely with people in it. All meals are served by Roman, and while all the food is delicious, some of it is a bit odd. Is that neon green soup? That’s hideous. If you happen to be in the mess hall at a particularly unlucky time, you and the food will suddenly begin to drift. Someone’s got jokes, and they’ve turned off the gravity control. Now it’s just you, your fellow refugees, and the floating sea of food. Wait, did that person just chuck a pie in your direction? PROMPT: TRAINING MODULES     While it’s all nice and well to familiarize oneself with Thesa Station, it is most advised that new arrivals venture out a bit. Not physically. No one is quite prepared for that yet. However, there will be several virtual reality training programs set for those who dare to be adventurous. For those who aren’t and don’t dare, well— good luck, all the same. Be advised, however, that participating in one of the training modules will start you off favorably with the Natha Orbiters’ in terms of REPUTATION. Once seated and appropriately strapped in, the system will automatically whir to life and the dense foliage and forestry of a section of El Nysa will open up. According to one’s map registry, it clear to see that it’s miles from the outer gates of Olympia, but not as far enough to venture into any other territories. So, in that sense, you’re safe. 1. Or you could have been, but unfortunately the wilderness is home to various types of beasts and monsters hailing from different universes and galaxies. On the bright side, perhaps one of them will be oddly familiar to you. Or maybe someone else who is currently synced is willing to give you that extra helping hand. Fortunately, if you’re powerless, there are options. From telekinesis to flight, there are strange abilities one can adopt and “test” out in the virtual reality. Granted, you’re only limited to one at a time. They say in the near future, some of you may be granted these abilities under certain conditions. But, please practice some caution. You aren’t alone in the system, after all. 2.. Who do you fight for, the VR system will ask you individually before you enter the module. The righteous Olympians, or the free-spirited Wyvers? Whatever your choice, when you enter El Nysa, you will wholly and truly believe your allegiance. A. Working together: You now have to suffer the consequences of your choice, as you and your partner have been captured by guards of the opposite faction. Now jailed and soon-to-be tortured, you must find some way to negotiate your release. Perhaps you’ll find some means to escape without detection. Maybe you’re the “fight your way out” sort of people. B. Facing your enemy: That person you stepped into the VR with? They’re out to capture you. Or maybe you seek to capture them. 3. When you enter the virtual reality, things aren’t exactly how they’re supposed to be. Maybe that’s natural, especially if this is your first time, but the problems here seem a bit more fundamental. Maybe you find yourself under a parental safety lock, and you’re suddenly censored. Exposed back? Censored. Body suit? Censored. Or replaced with a mascot costume. Worst of all? You can’t sign out. Not right now, at least. Regardless, whatever it is— ridiculous filters, body alterations, or even body swaps with other users... you are assured it’ll all be fixed with due time. Zasere sends his humblest apologies and promises no more wire chewing, or so the announcement states. PROMPT: STASIS UNIT     You have found the massive section of Thesa known as the Stasis Unit. There’s no special access required to access this part of Thesa Station, but refugees are warned that it may not be for the faint of heart. Here, in large pods that nearly cover every square inch of the space, are all of the people the Orbiters have managed to rescue. Your loved ones, your greatest enemy, your next door neighbor— you might find them here. These people are in a state of deep cryosleep. Due to the damaging effects of The Storm, their bodies are not yet ready to be awoken. PROMPT: HANGAR STATION     You find your way to the hangar station. Here rests are a factory worth of docked mobile suits. You recall how the Orbiters had previously spoken of a "space frontier," but only after seeing this you realize how real their words are. Most machinery have marks of wear and tear, assurance that they have indeed been used before, and an assembly of others are going through repairs and maintenance. No one seems to care that you've just strolled in. In fact, there seems to be a couple of the aircraft that beckon you to take a closer look. Maybe you’ll only look on the outside, maybe you'll be greeted by the hand of a mobile suit extending toward you and welcoming you to its cockpit. You go out and explore SPACE!!! Unfortunately, that mobile suit should have warned you it only had 20 minutes of flight time left in its system. Or, perhaps, you’re a particularly ambitious pilot and you’ve strayed past the designated perimeter. Either way, the HUD display is now blinking with errors, cropping up with a single message: DISTRESS SIGNAL. 1. You’re the poor sap who happened to chill around the Observation Deck. Unfortunately, everyone seems busy with the influx of mobile suits out and about, and the only one who can answer this distress signal is on the Navigation System, well, you. Hope you can figure out the controls fast enough. Guide the pilot back to the safety of the hangar using the most efficient route possible. Keen Navigators will find an instruction manual that provides a shortcut to automatically return a suit back to base. 2. You’re actually sitting in a two-seater mobile suit. Funny how that works, isn’t it? Maybe you were unwittingly dropped down a hatch, or dragged along for a joyride by your ambitious co-pilot. Either way, it looks like help is going to take some time... PROMPT: OMAGE     Upon receiving your mobile phone, you will be asked to set a username. Voila, you can now access the network! You can choose to send a message to the entire network, specific usernames, or you can try out the Orbiters’ service, Omage, which connects you to a random user. They thought this might be a good way for their new guests to make friends with each other... Connecting to server... Looking for someone you can chat with... You’re now chatting with [username]... [ Yuuri had no idea how anyone was supposed to eat after everything they just went through. ]

[ He found himself sitting amidst a sea of people he didn't recognize, clinging to the hope that he would see a familiar face somewhere near him. No one was standing out immediately, and it made him want to make himself smaller than he was already, like he could maybe duck under the table and hide until he heard a familiar voice call him by name, or snap, "Katsudon!" at him in an angry voice, like the storm and showing up here had all been his fault. ]

[ A heavy sigh escaped from him, and he looked down at his food... at least, he hoped it was actually food. Whatever the creature that was on his plate had been, it looked entirely too phallic and completely inedible, though it didn't keep him from poking at it with his fork, as if that would magically turn it into a pork cutlet, or something that didn't look like it would leap off his plate and bite his nose off. ]

How are you even supposed to eat this...?

[ Statis Unit ]
[ Yuuri couldn't stand just walking around and hoping he would run into someone else from his world. He had to see if the others had made it onto the Station, and that led him straight to the statis pods. It was... entirely uncomfortable, seeing so many people from so many different worlds just laying there in their pods, faces displaying an unsettling, emotionless kind of peace. ]

[ He wrapped his arms around his midsection, trying not to think about it too hard as he made his way down the rows, trying to find a familiar, frozen face among all the pods. His parents, his sister, Yurio... ]

Viktor...?

[ He didn't know why he said his name out loud -- it wasn't like he could answer him from inside one of the pods. Still, saying at least his name brought a weird sort of comfort, even if it was a small one. ]

[ Well, the world went to hell. That's at least one thing he can sneer at; no matter what the investigation team did, they didn't manage to save the world after all. Way to go.

He finds his rescue humorous, like they were scraping the bottom of the barrel when they were recruiting people, but he's glad to be alive and not frozen. The food looks weird, so he's sticking to an ordinary cup of coffee, his one reminder of home. The first moment he starts floating up, he almost doesn't know it, but soon enough he's trying to struggle away from the burning hot coffee floating into a liquid cloud just above his head. ]

Agh--!

[ there comes a point in everyone's day where the rush of new information and adventure has to subside for food. Jade's stomach rumbles when she steps into the designated dining room, and she's fairly excited and open to trying what's put on her plate. as strange as the meals are, she's not about to turn away hospitality. even if these remind her a little of a scene from a horror movie she saw on youtube ages ago. (yikes.)

as such, Jade Harley can be spotted easily - she's one of the people blending in for the most part. she eats her food without much complaint at all. it's either quite a show, alarming, or maybe just intriguing how willing she is to give the benefit of the doubt. who knows.

when zero grav is activated, however, Jade seems mildly amused for a moment. ]

Juuuuuust a moooooment... Yes! Touchdown!! [ focusing with her tongue sticking out of her mouth, jade's foot touches the ground without much pomp. it's a very simple thing, but for the moment, she's the only one on the ground.

she totally lets a bit of the green soup float closer before devouring it - look, bec, no hands! ]

[ Jade is nothing if not plucky. "virtual reality adventure" pings her on several notes; all of them technological. as a gadgeteer, she wants to get her hands on the tech, see what it's all about. as a curious by nature sort of girl, she also just wants to see what kind of adventure awaits her in vr. it's interesting and sort of fun.

strapped in and ready to go, she turns to the person she's going with - you, of course, and her tone is eager, but cautious. ]

Have you ever defended yourself? I'm more used to rifles, but I've got a few powers at my disposal! I could cover for you here and there if you need, but I think you should totally try if you haven't before, too...?

[ she'd be warned, and Jade had listened. she'd listened, and listened, and listened, every time her mind replayed the warning. "not for the faint of heart," and she thinks that she should know what's going on. see it for herself. how far is the reach? are they really here? people she hasn't seen in three years, dear friends she'd give anything to reconnect with. the possibility is tantalizing, so she drops everything and runs.

curiousity killed the dog girl, though. Jade is overwhelmed, at first, by the sheer amount of pods. there's so many people, so many lives, and they're all... sleeping? ]

...What do you think they're dreaming about?

[ it's a question to herself and anyone who might hear. she supposes a little company wouldn't be too bad right now - with furrowed brows, jade regards a pod with an expression that looks... frustrated? pained? confused? she doesn't know, really. it's a lot in one day. ]

[ John doesn't really... know how to feel, as he wanders through the stasis unit. It's weird. The rows of stasis pods are right there for him to see, but something about it doesn't feel real. He should be used to stuff like this, but somehow, he's not.

He spots Jade as he approaches from behind, and under any other circumstance, he'd be shouting to greet her, but... that's not right, is it? So he approaches quietly, shoving his hands in his pockets. ]

I don't know. I hope it's something good, though. Not like, weird tentacle monsters, or... going to school without your pants, or something like that.

PROMPT: STASIS
[ They say as long as there's a beacon of light, anything can survive a storm. Will this be any different? Is this place their beacon? She doesn't want to think of the morals or anything past waking up and dealing with everything. It was hard to take in, but Ann didn't detour.

She ventured out more and more, trying to know what she could. This helped her find out exactly what she was looking for: familiar faces. A few warnings fall arrogantly to the wayside not out of malice, but the need to find the truth. It takes her a minute to get to the Stasis section.

She's seeing people - beings, creatures - she's never seen before. Scanning for a solid five minutes as her pace picks up. Faster, faster, eyes darting until she finally sees a soft, peaceful face. It takes her a moment to know if someone joined her either purposefully or by accident, she looks up and gives an awkward smile but it fades as she looks back to the girl in the pod. ]

[Eventually it only made sense to come down here. Akira walks through the rows of pods, watching for any familiar faces at all. It takes awhile, but eventually he comes across his parents (at least they made it out) and a few others from his hometown. Finding any friends from Tokyo, though, will be harder.

Or that's what he thinks, until he moves down two more rows and sees a friend after all, not in the pods but actually standing there, living and breathing.

He can't help but run toward her, still light on his feet and nearly soundless as always. It only takes him a few seconds to size up the situation when he gets there.

Typically, she is not one possessed of an excessive appetite. But after who knew how long spent drifting in sleep, even her stomach had protested her general lack of appetite. Brought on, of course by the innate certainty that her world, all she'd hoped to rule is gone. Though there is some comfort: her people are alive. So they say, and so she intends to find out for herself. After she has had her fill of the fare offered here.

She seats herself, and at once, a plate of something she'd not eaten since her childhood in Braavos is set before her. Daenerys stares down at it for a long moment, one brow raised. This cannot be a coincidence. Fork poised above her plate, she pauses when she notes someone looking somewhat lost. An idea occurs to her.

"Come." She gestures toward the seat before her with her fork. "Sit. You may have a taste if you would like." Endangered she may be, but she is not fool enough to blindly trust that which has been set before her.

iii. stasis unit
Missandei. Grey Worm. Tyrion. Those and others are faces she is most relieved to see. There are many, though, which she can't place by sight alone. Were they awake, Tyrion or Jorah would be able to identify them surely enough for her. Yet there are two she can, by virtue of the similarity of their features to those of her Hand. A man in lion's armour, and a woman in black with a coronet upon her head. Her nails dig into the flesh of her palms as she struggles to keep the fury welling to a boil within her tightly leashed.

The Kingslayer and his sister, no doubt. "They truly do not discriminate." Her gaze remains cool, knowing there is someone at her back. She turns to gain the measure of them now.

"Is everyone from your world accounted for?"

The stasis unit is impressive — technologically speaking — one wouldn't know the depth of the surprise from the man in dark-coloured clothes wandering through it. He keeps glancing up and down, gaze sharp and searching. Looking at all the rows of people, not just the familiar ones. At the shape and weight of each pod, how secure, how many — he never has to think much about the variables anymore. Some processes are so bone-deep they're automatic.

Such as the brief smile he flashes Dany. Bruce knows loss, he's waiting for this one to sink in. 'Not yet. What about you, miss?'

Only two names matter more than life: Alfred Pennyworth and Richard Grayson. (He's not sure what he expects.)

Prompt 1: Mess Hall

[Waking up from strange dreams to even stranger events is starting to feel disturbingly familiar. This is taking the cake, though, when Akira doesn't even wake up to his own room, with not a single black cat to be seen. For a moment, he almost wonders if this is, somehow, a palace... but it's obvious something else entirely has happened.

It's a lot to process all at once (especially what happened to his world), and he decides to take it as things come for now. He can be confused and angry later.

So he heads randomly towards the faint smell of food until he arrives at the mess hall. It's incredible, but they truly seem to have everything here - including things he's never heard of.

He slouches in a chair with a plate, and picks up the strange shrimp-like thing that has been put before him.

Well, he has eaten some weird stuff before... maybe it won't be so bad?]

Prompt 2: Training Modules

[The good news is that the mystery food didn't kill him. That's still about the only good news he's had today, as he wonders down toward what is marked as the "Training Modules." Training for what, he wonders. Whatever it is these... aliens want him to do.

He follows the instructions and straps himself in, but he's surprised when he's suddenly presented with a choice. "Righteous" Olympians? "Free-spirited" Wyvers? It's impossible to know if either of those are true without any information.

But this is just a game, right? Choices don't really matter here like they do in real life. So he might as well pick...

He grins.] Wyvers.

[And then, suddenly, he's on some kind of planet, and he feels like he really is part of the Wyvers. And someone is here with him.

He whirls on them, not sure if they're a friend or an enemy. He doesn't look frightened, either way.]

[ The usual cool composure of one perfect Prince Detective is slowly slipping. It come in crackles, the slipping of his mask, but when his food begins floating up from the table, off the plate, teetering around in front of his nose, that's what makes him snap.

His eyes narrow, watching the weird meat-looking object twirl around mere centimeters from his face. About to slam it back down with his fork, his feet slip and he's - well, he's beginning to rise from his seat as well. The tips of his hair stand on edge and gravity seems to be taking a vacation. The irritation disappears and is instantly replaced with utter confusion. ]

I -- Is this normal?

[ It comes out almost in a sputter, watching as his food floats away and slams into someone nearby. Oops. Sorry, bro. ]

[it was a risk coming here, but he made the choice—even if the choked feeling in his throat means it's hard to swallow, or tension tightens up his chest and shoulders.

[ "not for the faint of heart", they say. hah! the Orbiters must not have understood that they recruited a Phantom Thief of Hearts of all people into their ranks. while Akira is still reeling from the change of scenery and the outpouring of information, he forces himself to think of his new "home" as nothing more than a Palace until he can accept otherwise. his main priority? finding his friends. after all, what is just one thief when he doesn't have his merry band of cohorts?

upon finding out that there is a good chance of locating them in the stasis chambers, he rushes to the expansive area holding the pods. who knows how long he spent going through row after row. just as one may begin to lose hope, he notices something. he notices. a cat. not just any cat, but― ]

... That's my cat.

[ there's always the possibility that another cat out there looks exactly like Morgana when considering the number of pods, but. no. he knows his cat. don't mind him as he stands there, palm placed on the glass like he's an inmate looking at his significant other from the other side. fitting, in a way. ]

TWO ― MESS HALL.

[ gravity is no longer a thing and people have been floating in the air for a few minutes. there's probably a lot of commotion for those not used to being in such a predicament, but oddly enough, this sixteen-year-old boy has had a brief taste of such an experience. he quite enjoys it, really! there's something about being feather light that puts him at ease, even when he should be no doubt stressed about the current state of things. cue Akira lying back, in a sense, with both arms behind his head and fingers interlaced. he stares up at the ceiling and loses himself in his thoughts, not thinking much of the others finding themselves in similar circumstances.

unfortunately, his negligence will inevitably lead him to go straight towards another unsuspecting soul. as these things tend to go, their heads collide and it forces him to snap back into reality. ]

Ow. ―I'm sorry. I should have been paying better attention.

[ he offers a smile while rubbing gingerly at his scalp. you can't be too mad at him, right? look at his face. come on. ]

THREE ― LOUNGE AREA.

[ anyone walking into the lounge area or taking notice of Akira's presence will find him sitting down, body hunched over and brows furrowed under those thick bangs of his. he's frustrated! on the table in front of him is a chess board, albeit a futuristic one. each piece is scrutinized, lifting them up into the air and trying to make notes of each one. they're all foreign to him after having learned shogi, and try as he might, he couldn't find his native board game.

noticing someone else is around or catching their eyes on him, he perks up and slides over, almost as if inviting them to come closer. ]

Now she's here and everything is different and everything is awful and she just wants to be baking in the sun on the beach or working up a sweat on the school rooftop during practice. She misses her friends and her family. And now they want her to eat this gross looking food? You sighs as she pokes at the whatever-it-is. She's hungry, but she doesn't have an appetite.

Then her alien lobster-thing starts to float off her plate.] Eh? Ehh? [And she starts to float off her chair. She grabs the bottom of the table to hold herself in place watching all of the rest of the food begin to float upwards, too.]

Is this-- is it supposed to be happening? Mid-meal entertainment?!

[They'd asked her if she wanted a power. Of course she'd wanted a power? Who would possibly say no to that question? The power You chooses is flight-- it seems just like swimming, she reasons, only in air instead of water. And indeed, she takes to it fairly fast, soaring up in the air.

It's exhilarating, going fast with the wind whipping through her hair. It almost makes her forget her nervousness and her grief for home. She turns and banks and climbs.

The one difference between this and swimming, though, is that if you stop pushing while swimming you stop fairly quickly thanks to water resistance. That's not here. So You is coming to a very terrible conclusion as she accidentally buzzes a newcomer.] H- how do you stop?!

[No luck. She's tried a few sectors at this point and her feet are starting to get tired. She hasn't even seen anyone she sort of knows yet. How big is this place? How many people are there? Did they save everyone on Earth? Did they at least save everyone from Uchiura?

There's someone else. You wonders, briefly, if they're doing the same thing she is: Looking for loved ones, for just an assurance that they're still alive somewhere.] Hi! Ah, I'm sorry to bother, but...

...you haven't seen a girl with bright orange hair in one of these things, right? Hair maybe in little side braids [she holds her hands up to the hair on either side of her ear] and a little cowlick on top?

Now, You was never as into manga as some of her friends, but growing up in the place she did, there's no way she could have possibly escaped the pop cultural osmosis of what's in front of her. You stands in the doorway to the hangar, her jaw actually dropping in disbelief.] Giant... robots? They're real-life giant robots?!

[She turns to the next person who walks through the door, grabbing them by the arm and pointing at the metal colossi lining the hangar bay.] Do you see this?! Please tell me that you're seeing these too! They're real!

Thinking fast, he runs to try and keep up with her, waving his hand to get her attention. There's a small tree coming up ahead; if he can get a good angle on it...

He jumps up and off the tree trunk, using it to propel himself up enough to grab onto You's shirt. Maybe he can act like some kind of human spoiler and stop her?

[A simulation. That's what he assumes it is, from what little he gathered of the explanation. Kotetsu hates simulations. And yet he can still hear that knowledgeable yet oh so annoying nagging voice in the back of his head telling him that this is an opportunity that shouldn't be ignored. After all, he's in space, and there is no telling what one can find in space.

And so he relents, hops himself into one of those large chairs and he swears this feels like some elaborate single person roller coaster ride. God he hopes this won't be jumpy, his back is too sore for that at the moment.

Then there's so much green everywhere and he has no idea how it even happened, but his environment is completely different, completely new, far more colorful and inviting than that cold and dreary station filled with various shades of the color gray (there was a joke here, it's gone now). Kotetsu would find himself amazed if it wasn't for the trembling of the ground under his feet.

And then the loud bellow of some kind of. Thing. He has no idea what that is but boy does it sound big.

[A figure is seated right before one of the pods, legs crossed, fingers in his lap. He appears to be fiddling with a silver ring as he gazes at a young girl, no older than twelve or so. There is a clear expression of worry etched on his features. When he hears footsteps, Kotetsu's back straightens as he turns his head and gives a sheepish smile, feeling as if he's been caught doing something he wasn't meant to.]

Sorry, hope I'm not being a bother. [He picks himself up quickly, back onto his feet.] You have anyone here?

[ He's landed himself in one of those training modules. There are similar things in his world, though nothing so intricate. The comparison to Gaelio ends quickly after actually seeing what the VR system has inside of it.

This isn't a space sortie simulator, that's for certain. You could find Gaelio in the part of the system that makes you test out new powers; he's flying, and he's pretty weirded out by flying with his own two feet, rather than in a mobile suit. Or you could fight him as an opposing faction—

Or, better yet, you can find Gaelio censored. So censored that his face is missing completely, and has been replaced with a 😍 (heart eyes emoji). The rest of him is in perfect condition, but... no, he has no words, he regrets ever coming in here. ]

[ The hangar is much more comfortable. There's not a single mobile suit in here that he actually recognises, but that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Right now, he's just sitting on the edge of a platform looking out over them.

( she presses her palms to her stomach, which is far less armored than it had been a second ago. the colors are familiar, and yet the armor itself is quite different indeed.

it bears little importance, and Diana tugs at the loose ties at her throat to try and rid herself of the especially elaborate cloak as a roar echoes in the distance. ) You there, ( she notes, stepping closer as her star-spangled cloak falls behind her. if it was unpatriotic to let that touch the ground, Diana has no idea. ) Are you my ally in this endeavor? Come, let us face our foe together.

STASIS.

( it turns out, being told not to face something only pushes the determination of Diana of Themyscira to encounter it head on. she believes there is nothing that she cannot face, or at the very least, nothing she cannot learn to face. she has not the option to sit idly by. Hades and his destructions are her burden to bear, she cannot turn away from them, no matter how troubling they are to witness.

and yet, that does not make the frozen, sleeping faces easier. nor watching the miasma covering the stars just outside the windows as she travels the ship. the face in front of her is not one she recognizes, and yet she lingers in front of the pod of a young girl all the same, a hand pressed to the glass as her heart weighs heavier with every beat.

she feels a responsibility, to every last form frozen in this hall. however naive her belief, Diana cannot shake the idea that this must be at the fault of Ares. such darkness, such evil, surely he has some part of it, even though the scourge has devoured Earth and then some. it is all she can hope for, to find him and stop him and reverse all the destruction he has wrought. it is all she can think of, as she looks at that small face behind glass. )

[ The training modules seemed like a good way to acclimatize one's self to the new world they've been thrust in. And it reminds him a little of Cerebro, just from how visually it calls to you. There's a pang in his heart for that machine, a machine that made Charles feel connected and enraptured by the world he lives in. He doubts he will able to muster the same kind of sentiment here.

Each and every pod is inspected, no matter who's in it. A few of them give him longer pause, and one of them even earns a sharp, hollow laugh.

However, this means he's also staring and stroking gently the glass of the pod someone from your world is in, doesn't it? And he doesn't seem to notice you watching.]

This... filth. Is this truly the state of cuisine in this place? There is no aesthetic value to this in the slightest.

Sometimes by themselves, sometimes with others. Little groups forming a communal bond. She remembers it well from the trenches, and from joining forces with others, however briefly, afterward. She accepts what food is available with as much grace as she can muster. It may be alien to her, but the same could be said on the other side, and she will use the manners her mother taught her. To do otherwise is a disrespect she's not prepared to indulge.

With that same grace, she settles at a table by herself. Near enough to the window for a good view without barring others from that same view. There is little expectation of anyone joining her. Diana, to her knowledge, is utterly alone, still unsure if she can trust her own memories. If someone does happen by, though, the Amazon will offer a friendly smile and greeting before resuming picking at her meal. ]

PROMPT 1: THE MESS HALL

Sanzo didn't like how many people were in the hall, but, in the end, even he needed food to continue. And as stubborn as he was, he would much rather skulk around the crowd in attempt to sustaining himself then pass out in the hall simply to avoid any form of social interaction.

He was not that much of a dumbass.

And so he got a plate of whatever looked nourishing (Yes he even got that thing. He won't judge it till he tries it) and made his way to the emptiest table he could find in the furthest corner of the back of the room.

He had been happily indulging himself in his meal, occasionally imbuing in a drink that was most certainly alcohol, when he suddenly heard the shouts from the other side of the cafeteria.

He didn't realize what had happened himself until he attempted to stand from his table to get a better look-- only to notice that both he and his table were no longer attached to the ground.

"Wh-What the hell!?" He was aghast. What was even happening!? His mind had a hard time wrapping around the lack of gravity and he could not help but temporarily wonder if he had somehow gained the ability to fly. That was, at least until he looked around and noticed that everyone else around him was also aimlessly floating. "... 'Tch."

This was stupid. He didn't know what was happening but it was most obviously the fault of some idiot. He grabbed at his beer again, only to notice that his beer was slowly floating out of his mug and towards the ceiling. Thankfully he was too lazy to go chasing after it, instead kicking his robes about in hopes to keep them from floating up over his head. There seemed to be some assholes throwing food at one another close by, and he had just about figured out the concept of floating in place when he ended up catching sight of an incoming slice of pie quickly drifting towards the direction his face.

He was not tolerating this. He did not wake up in some strange place only to be caught floating around like a dumb-ass. He had goals, ambitions, and a need to get the fuck out of this room.

So without thinking, in a fit of aggravation, he took his handgun from his robes, aimed it at the slice of pie, and--


BANG!!!

The shot, in turn, violently sending himself flying backwards into a nearby wall due to the kickback.

Surely that had to hurt.


PROMPT 2: TRAINING MODULE 1


It was surreal how similar the surrounding wilderness in the hologram had been to that of his own devastated world, the woods around him feeling reminiscent to the forests bordering his (sort-of) home city. How long had it been since he had last seen them? Quite a few years, he was sure. But instead he pushed the thought from his mind, concentrating on why he had been there. He was acclimatizing, surviving, something he was quite adept at doing. And much like every time before this, he had a goal to fulfill. And so he remained alert, cautiously walking his way along the beaten path, prepared to attack at the first sign of movement.

That was when he heard the snap of a twig, his body stiffening at once as his hand grasped firmly upon the gun concealed within his robes. The sound of shifting fabric being the only thing noticed before he pointed his weapon towards the first sign of movement he could make out. That was, until--

"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" His tone was flat, deep, and unamused. He was most certainly not expecting someone else to enter the simulation, that was for sure. "If you haven't noticed this module was 'occupied'. Or are you not able to read?"

Yeah, he wasn't happy.

[ Back home the only "beasts" there are vampires, at least in the perspective of humans. Inhuman and uncaring, driving them into corners and later degrading them into nothing more than cattle. While understandable Crowley only finds it hypocritical considering they were the same species that taught their own of the food chain.

But this is neither here or there, right now Crowley is being confronted by a beast that is far from familiar to him at all. A creature that he recalls is from a work of fiction: a werewolf. Honestly he's more impressed than he is frightened, but there's obvious delight in his expression when the beast strikes and he expertly parries the attack. ] Haha, what was that~?

[ Taunting it, his voice is smooth and without a hint of exhaustion despite the power of its punch.

And perhaps that's what causes it to draw its attention away from him and onto someone else, someone who was possibly going to strike from behind or huddled behind a tree somewhere waiting for the battle to end. Either way the werewolf is moving at a fast pace, and within seconds Crowley registers exactly what it's doing.

Hello, you're now being saved by a 6'3" vampire who looks far too happy to be stuck in this situation. Carrying the individual with one arm while he skillfully keeps his sword in his free hand. ]

If you're going to just get yourself into trouble like this, at least stay behind me.

[ Wyver has a nice ring to it, that's the only reason Crowley took the time to choose between the two factions. Honestly speaking he could give less of a damn about the bad blood settled between the two, but he can't help but find some needed excitement. Especially when he's been stuck with disappointing battles for some time now at home—one-sided fights that ended within seconds, he wants more.

So there's some dull sense of joy that brings life to course through his veins the second he steps into the VR and he's given the task to capture someone else. An opposing enemy, a threat, he wonders briefly if they'll be someone who could provide some entertainment.

The vegetation is dense and he can't say that he's a fan of forests, but he hold his complaints the moment he catches sight of a figure just a few yards away. His target. ] Hey. [ The single word is accompanied with a drawl, which makes the scenario much less threatening. ] Don't run off, okay? I'm here to capture you~ And they didn't give me any restrictions so I'm not above cutting your limbs off.

He stumbles upon a handful of familiar faces, two that honestly "matter" to him and the rest being on a varying degree of indifference. He was beginning to feel a bit protective over the humans he was left to look after, but he would never say that they were on the same level as either Chess or Horn, both who were sleeping soundly.

And then there was Ferid, who Crowley was currently standing in front of, and there's the most evident, shit eating grin that he could muster. ]

This... is going to be the best vacation.

[The first thing Abelas did upon arriving was to attempt and locate any of his sentinels. Eventually he found them, lined up in metal coffins frozen in slumber. This was not entirely alien to him, he and the rest of his sentinels would fall into such a slumber during the centuries between raids on their temple. However, this time he found himself envious of them. Whatever happened, their purpose had been served. They had earned their rest. Yet he remained.

He placed a hand on one of the pods and hung his head in respect to his comrade.]

[A clatter of tools nearby alerted him to the presence of another. He snapped his head towards the sound and drew back from the pod.]

[Sure the ancient elves had some interesting technology at their disposal, but this little trinket was completely and utterly foreign to him. He did not care for it. He was far too old to be dealing with this nonsense, and yet had some obligation to at least figure out how the thing worked.

Which, she successfully does! Only now the food is starting to drift off the plate, making her efforts useless.]

Gah, goddammit - it looks really good too! Didn't even get a chance to bite it. [She looks around to the other people in the mess hall, similarly affected by the shift in gravity.] Hey, let's work together to get out of this. No asshole is ruining my lunch.

[Ermes is looking through the rows of pods, trying to find anyone she might recognize. Part of her is fighting back any hope that she'll find someone, because it'll be all the more crushing if she doesn't see a friend. So far no luck, but on the other hand...]

Man, they really picked up some ugly looking weirdos. [She can't help but say to herself, looking intently at each pod. Some people look normal, but there are a bunch of strange looking people within. Hopefully she isn't insulting one of your pals.] Wonder if they'll be okay in there though. Seems like the start of a scary sci-fi movie.

[you know when it can actually be helpful to turn off the gravity? when you're trying to escape from a maximum security interstellar prison, and the only thing that can take you and a bunch of weirdos past guards and big-ass guns toward freedom is the top of a watchtower. he can't take credit for the idea, but that had, all in all, been a pretty good plan.

you know when it's not helpful, though? when innocent people like him are just trying to cram in some (not great, but not the actual worst he's ever had, either) lunch while minding their own freaking business.

peter happens to be seated at a table in the middle of the mess hall, food halfway to his mouth, when he finds himself starting to float. and, okay, that's annoying, but he could live with that... if not for the pie that collides with his face about thirty seconds later.

he shoves the pie tin away, and whips his head around in the direction from which he thinks it came. the only trouble is, his eyelids are kinda caked in the stuff, so it's hard to see. that's when he decides to shout at no one in particular:]
