YOUR STORY BEGINS ![]() The Storm came. You remember darkness, but you don't remember much after that. You don't know how long you slept, but the dreams were short. You remember the expanse of stars and galaxies in your direct view. Every world and solar system ever known to man was present in your dreams in careful, pristine detail. You also witnessed the Storm, which has devoured a fair portion of these galaxies. Your Earth and similar planets were assimilated by the Storm. Somehow, you knew it would be the last you'd see of your world. That was when she told you what happened. You knew that you'd be living somewhere new. The details weren't clear, but you knew it was a part of a deal with the entity known as Darma - once, you might have been able to speak to her, but now you are only met with silence. When you awake, you will find yourself in Thesa Station. Your body is still cold, you're hungry, and the halls seem frighteningly bare somehow. Exploring the halls brings you to the transporter room, which will give you easy access to and from Nadril... Getting there is a quick process that leaves you feeling vaguely nauseous and out of your own body, and you can’t travel to the rest of the planet just yet, but the space station and the icy colony are yours to explore. THE CHILLY NORTH ![]() I. All Creatures Great and Small — Thanks to the efforts of the Thesaens who undertook quests investigating Magda’s disappearance, Nadril has begun experimenting with the recovered Natha technology. While they haven’t yet made progress with everything, they’ve managed to reverse-engineer and adapt the power core recovered by Gabriel and Moira and the translation device recovered by Allura and Richie to produce multiple smaller, more powerful earpieces that should work regularly and last longer between uses. As they would not have been recovered without the assistance of the Thesaens, Nurray has decided that the Thesaens should get first dibs on them. Anyone is welcome to pick up a device for themselves to try them out — they will find that the devices will accurately translate any language spoken within earshot of the person wearing them. In fact, if everything has been calibrated correctly, it should even translate the noises that animals make into something that can be understood. With the recently-compiled list of flora and fauna found in and around the colony, this is a good opportunity to familiarize new arrivals and old refugees alike with what’s out there. Pick up your device, and you’ll also be given a day’s worth of supplies for traipsing around out in the snow and a datapad on which to transcribe the things you hear the animals saying — so why not go out for the day and see what you can hear? Puldriggs in the fishing district are about as mischievous as you might expect — you’ll hear them making jokes about the people they lure out into the lakes, and they’re not particularly kind ones, either. In the caves, where there have been Deorain sightings, you might hear a gasp of “Agh! They’re coming back!” before seeing something moving out of the corner of your eye. The Lupires can be overheard discussing how best to get “those twolegs” to look them in the eyes, and the Ice-Igneous… well, it mainly screams “GO AWAY!” But hey… at least it will make for an interesting adventure. II. Schmoozin' — You have free reign of the colony of Nadril throughout the week — the colonists themselves are fascinated to hear about the worlds you’ve come from, and will gladly show you around in exchange for a story or two. In fact, one newly-opened entertainment lounge boasts a special deal in bright neon lights: TELL A TALE, DRINK FREE BOOZE. It’s a straightforward sign, but then, the colonists are straightforward people. This particular lounge has been built around a patch of underground hot springs that were found in the caves on a recent expansion expedition. For those who just prefer to soak, walls have been constructed around some of the smaller springs to create private rooms; the proprietor allow use of one of these rooms for free as long as you agree to talk about the myths and legends from your homeworld with whoever you’re soaking with, and consent to be recorded for the locals to enjoy your stories any time. (For those who don’t wish to be recorded, the rooms can still be rented for a small fee of 15 silver an hour.) The lounge’s main room, however, has a hot spring right in the middle of it, and people soak in it communally with little regard for who might see them &mash; the waters themselves are murky enough to obscure the figures of people submerged in them, and the combination of steam and towels protect your modesty just fine. Employees of the lounge drift from the bar itself (built into the cavern’s wall) to take your orders… and there’s no charge, so long as you’re engaging with the other patrons and talking about the worlds you came from. The employees seem most interested in legends, particularly about deities from your worlds… perhaps the steam and the drink will compel you to loosen your lips. A little reminiscing couldn’t hurt, could it? III. OREGON TRAIL — With an amalgam of salvaged technology at their disposal, the people of Nadril are broadening their ambitions. First and foremost, improvements need to be made to the railway system that connects the icy tundra with the rest of Nysa. Expansion requires resources, and not only of a technological nature. Manpower is essential to timely development and maintenance, but the people of Nadril won't throw anyone - their own or Theasans - into the project without experience. Cobbled together out of the scrapped technology so many have salvaged are several VR pods. These machines are more ramshackle than those found on Thesa Station, but just as immersive. Inside, a preset journey has been programmed. You and at least one other trainee, along with several virtual AI companions, will travel an uncharted length of rail, several week's time passed in an instant as each event, each decision, fades into the next. Broken tracks that need repaired, food shortages, a sudden injury or illness, floods or cave ins, and cabin fever are all possible challenges the trainees and their company may face. Reach your destination with at least one party member surviving, and the simulation is considered a success. Die along the way, and you're stuck watching in third person as your partner continues the journey. SOCIAL-LINKED(in)
By some miracle, there are still some quieter parts of the hall. This may be an appropriate time to check out your smartphone. Aside from the expected "Omage" app, there seems to be a new one called Social-Linked. There, you may find a profile waiting to be posted. The app allows for the user to fill it in, but there is also an auto-function! upon pressing it, it will generate a shockingly-honest answer based on the Natha's observation of your history. Roman will be your only friend in this app, with his very own profile: (Unfortunately, he is no longer around to respond to messages)
I WAS A: Butler! I still am, and I'm happy to serve all of the new arrivals! I'M SKILLED IN: Cooking, cleaning, anything that involves making your life better! I'M LOOKING FOR: Consistency! ALSO, I'M: Not entirely certain if the "auto" profile function is to your liking. Feel free to edit if it is not to taste! So, have you decided on making your own profile? Perhaps you used the "auto" function on accident? Regardless, once your profile is out there, it's out there. And like the Omage app, it will match you with someone. NOTE: Please use the form below to fill out a profile! Whether it's auto-generated or filled by the character is up to you! STASIS UNITS ![]() Far away from the chaos, you managed to find the massive section on the station known as the Stasis Unit. There’s no special access required to enter this part of Thesa Station, but refugees are warned that it may not be for the faint of heart. Here, in large pods that nearly cover every square inch of the space, are all of the people the Orbiters have managed to rescue. Your loved ones, your greatest enemy, your next door neighbor — you might find them here. These people are in a state of deep cryosleep. Due to the damaging effects of The Storm, their bodies are not yet ready to be awoken. FINAL OOC NOTES
As always, feel free to wildcard prompts within Thesa Station!
These threads may be carried over as game canon if players choose. Players are encouraged to submit TDM threads as application samples, but they are not required. Please direct any OOC questions to the questions thread below. Players may submit an AC-length thread HERE from this TDM for 2 Natha REP. The due date for submission is November 18, 11:59 PM EST. For this application cycle, there will be a cap of 60 and no reserves. Applications will be open on November 2nd at 12:01 AM EST and close on November 4th, 11:59 PM EST. Thank you! |
EMORI | THE 100
[She had her clothes from before cryosleep sat before her. She quickly dressed and tried to find a place where there were a lot of people. People who could have seen her people. --It wasn't long before she was drinking and telling everyone around her about ALIE and how the computer program tried to take over everyone's minds.
As the night goes on, she strips down and gets into the hot spring. Emori has no care in the world about her mutated hand-- she dares anyone to say anything about it. She's actually started to calm down and enjoy herself. She's startled by the hand tapping her on the shoulder.]
III. OREGON TRAIL —
[Emori remembers when Raven had to do the simulation for the rocket. It frustrated her because of her sickness and just stressed her out. Emori decides to try this one anyway. Just about the same situation happens. Her crew dies time and time again, but Emori keeps trying.
Finally, she makes it to the destination with the member of her party (named "John") surviving. She jumps out of the pod and shouts.] Yes! I did it! Suck it!
STASIS UNITS
[Emori haunts this room, looking at all the pods. She's looking for anyone, John, Bellamy, Raven, Echo, Monty, Harper. Any of Spacekru. She's come here specifically to find them, and if she can't find them, she might just break down.]

stasis units!
it was the same thing every time, no change at all with how they were always safely still sleeping for each and every pod she ventured past in her visits but despite that clarke still held onto hope that she would see them again much like she believed as much would be true back home whenever it was safe for them to come down.
she had heard the news of people waking up from stasis and she figured it was much of the same but she still went up to station to check if anyone she knew was awake. she ventures down a row of stasis units and just went she turns the corner, she stops in her tracks when she catches sight of a familiar face just a few feet away from her] Emori?

I've been here for over a year now— it's been a while since I've seen anyone else awake since Bellamy went back to stasis a while ago.
It's good to see you again Emori.

I'm sorry about Bellamy. I would have liked to see him, too. You... haven't seen John, have you?

How many times did you try?
sorry for the delay, i'm back tho!!
That was the fifth time. Sometimes it takes a little longer for people. You have to learn from your mistakes.
[Maybe a wee bit defensive.]
