YOUR STORY BEGINS ![]() The Storm came. You only remember darkness, but you don't remember much after that. All you know, perhaps, is that it was cold as you slept. You don't know for how long you slept, but the dreams were short, at least. You remember the expanse of stars and the universe that came in view. Every world and solar system ever known was displayed in your dreams in careful, pristine detail. You have also witnessed The Storm, which has devoured a fair portion of these galaxies. It was a dark, thick smog; ominous in appearance and ever foreboding. Your Earth and similar planets were immersed in The Storm. Somehow, you knew it would be the last you'd see of it. That was when she told you what happened, and how you can help. You knew that you'll be living somewhere new, even though you never asked for it. The details here weren't clear, but you knew you'd made a deal with Darma. Not long after, you'll wake at Thesa Station — Your body is still cold. It was all a dream, but somehow, you knew it wasn't — now, will you keep that promise you made to Darma? PROMPT: THE MESS HALL ![]() It's fascinating to the Orbiters how such a dull room can be turned around so completely with people in it. All meals are served by Roman, and while all the food is delicious, some of it is a bit odd. Is that neon green soup? That’s hideous. If you happen to be in the mess hall at a particularly unlucky time, you and the food will suddenly begin to drift. Someone’s got jokes, and they’ve turned off the gravity control. Now it’s just you, your fellow refugees, and the floating sea of food. Wait, did that person just chuck a pie in your direction? PROMPT: TRAINING MODULES ![]() While it’s all nice and well to familiarize oneself with Thesa Station, it is most advised that new arrivals venture out a bit. Not physically. No one is quite prepared for that yet. However, there will be several virtual reality training programs set for those who dare to be adventurous. For those who aren’t and don’t dare, well— good luck, all the same. Be advised, however, that participating in one of the training modules will start you off favorably with the Natha Orbiters’ in terms of REPUTATION. Once seated and appropriately strapped in, the system will automatically whir to life and the dense foliage and forestry of a section of El Nysa will open up. According to one’s map registry, it clear to see that it’s miles from the outer gates of Olympia, but not as far enough to venture into any other territories. So, in that sense, you’re safe.
PROMPT: STASIS UNIT ![]() You have found the massive section of Thesa known as the Stasis Unit. There’s no special access required to access this part of Thesa Station, but refugees are warned that it may not be for the faint of heart. Here, in large pods that nearly cover every square inch of the space, are all of the people the Orbiters have managed to rescue. Your loved ones, your greatest enemy, your next door neighbor— you might find them here. These people are in a state of deep cryosleep. Due to the damaging effects of The Storm, their bodies are not yet ready to be awoken. PROMPT: HANGAR STATION ![]() You find your way to the hangar station. Here rests are a factory worth of docked mobile suits. You recall how the Orbiters had previously spoken of a "space frontier," but only after seeing this you realize how real their words are. Most machinery have marks of wear and tear, assurance that they have indeed been used before, and an assembly of others are going through repairs and maintenance. No one seems to care that you've just strolled in. In fact, there seems to be a couple of the aircraft that beckon you to take a closer look. Maybe you’ll only look on the outside, maybe you'll be greeted by the hand of a mobile suit extending toward you and welcoming you to its cockpit. You go out and explore SPACE!!! Unfortunately, that mobile suit should have warned you it only had 20 minutes of flight time left in its system. Or, perhaps, you’re a particularly ambitious pilot and you’ve strayed past the designated perimeter. Either way, the HUD display is now blinking with errors, cropping up with a single message: DISTRESS SIGNAL. PROMPT: OMAGE
Upon receiving your mobile phone, you will be asked to set a username. Voila, you can now access the network! You can choose to send a message to the entire network, specific usernames, or you can try out the Orbiters’ service, Omage, which connects you to a random user. They thought this might be a good way for their new guests to make friends with each other...
Connecting to server... PROMPT: WILDCARD
You are welcome to write any scenarios in Thesa Station! Characters have been granted temporary access to the Observation Room, and are encouraged to study it carefully.
FINAL OOC NOTE

A blindfolded girl, to be more specific. Not that he can judge much; his eyes are also covered. There's no saying she can't somehow still see.
She's straight to the point, clinical in her phrasing in a way that seems all-too-familiar. A little like how certain omnics speak. He can do a scan, but he'll have to find a chance to activate the scanner on his visor without it being overly obvious what he's doing. ]
I haven't used the simulator or tested out the suits myself. [ He'd like to think he knows better than that. It made more sense to wait until others tried their hand at it first. He knows when to be reckless and when to hold back, generally speaking. ] What do you need all of that info for? [ A somewhat hypocritical question. 76 has been doing the same sort of information-gathering, even if he's been a little less direct about his approach. ]
screams
Doing an initial diagnosis of the situation. Trying to gather the resources available to make an estimation on how limited we are.
[ She's straight and to the point. ]
They've given us free range here and I want to know why the general populace seems to have integrated nicely into the news given to them. Rarely any irrationality. It's odd.
screams back
For many years, he'd had to watch his words. To phrase things just so. He doesn't have the patience for it anymore.
Still, she makes an interesting observation. ] I'd guess it's shock. Or denial. When you're told something that sounds so insane that you can't process it, you tell yourself whatever you need to so that you can cope.
[ A defense mechanism, in other words. Humans were good at it.
He tilts his head at her, watching her mouth because he can't see her eyes. ] What are you?
my inner overwatch is fanning myself tbh
[ He can see the stance she has — shoulders back, knees locked and back straight. It was a soldier stance and even if her attire proved less combat suited to his, this was standard issued for YoRHa. The black contrasts the paleness of her flesh and the silver in her hair, but there's nothing menacing about it. Almost mourning. ]
...Android. Combat unit from YoRHa. [ She doesn't hesitate, more so sound a bit annoyed. ] Call me 2B. This is more humans than I've seen since my production, you'd forgive me if my questions are prodding.
covers face!! BUT NAH i'm glad i tagged you then 8)
[ Better to approach it rationally, the way she's doing. 76 can't be as emotionless as an artificial being, as much as he might try; he certainly does a decent job of playing the part, these days.
An android. People had talked about designing omnics to look more human, once upon a time, but it had been decided that a distinction was important. That it not be so easy to confuse the two, human and machine. 76 has to wonder if that will ever change, but after the Crisis? He doubts it.
So where did she come from? ] When were you produced? Why haven't you been around humans?
[ Now who's the one with the prodding questions? ]
no subject
I... don't have the exact date of production. [ She almost sounds bitter. She hesitates at first, an inner conflict between revealing the truth or withholding it flares up inside of her. ] Humanity is residing on the Moon, preserved by YoRHa forces as we attempt to recapture Earth.
[ It's blunt, to the point. ]
Our worlds are undoubtedly vastly different, I would not hold much stock into that.
no subject
The idea that they're all from different worlds doesn't really sit well with him. How can there be multiple Earths, multiple moons? Was all that pseudo-science about alternate realities true after all, or is this another layer to the game being played here?
If anything, 2B here seems to believe what she's saying. 76 can't really bring himself to argue with her.
He tilts his head at her. ] What's YoRHa? And who would you be recapturing Earth from?
[ Maybe learning more will help make this all make more sense, but somehow he doubts it. ]
no subject
...She doesn't like it. It's not as if her information is confidential and in some weird order of command, she finds it easy to listen and abide to a human's desire. She was to serve the glory of mankind, after all.
2B will take a seat, pulling a chair towards her and sitting, one leg crossed over the other. Her voice grows a bit softer.]
You seem to like asking questions more than answering them.
[ It's almost a sassy tone, but fails to have the punch needed. She holds back. ]
A group of androids destined to protect mankind and fight against the forces occupying Earth. ...Machines were on the other side of the battlefield.
[ But: ]
...You seem disturbed. Or at least, the twitch in your brows may indicate as such.
no subject
She makes an observation about him in that straightforward way that robots do, but 76 doesn't respond to it. She's not wrong, but he isn't going to apologize about it either.
What's a little less welcome is the guess she makes about his emotional state. Is she programmed to read that kind of thing in humans? 76 leans back in his chair. ]
Parts of your story are a little too familiar. [ And when the human race didn't want to sacrifice itself anymore, it would find other beings, artificial or not, to take the bullets for them. ] What makes you different from the machines you were fighting?
[ "Who's in control" is probably the answer. ]
no subject
How so? Don't tell me you're from the Moon too.
[ There's a begrudged sigh on her side. The humans she has spoken with were mostly situated on Earth. It was... unsettling to her. His question catches her off guard and there's only a slight twist of her lips upwards, as if trying to deflect. ]
... That information is classified.
[ She leaves it at that, even if there's a stimulation if discomfort in her chest. ]
