[Peter's watching for every small thing, so of course he sees that flinch. It's such a minor thing, but Peter has his suspicions and that seems like confirmation. But it could have been worse. Maybe it isn't as bad as he thinks.

And of course, Juno has every right to it. He'd suffered more than Peter, and for longer. All that blood and those endless tests. All Peter had to do was flip cards. He doesn't even know what Misasma did to ensure Juno's compliance after he escaped. Nothing good. He knows that.

Part of him wants to needle further, to figure out the true extent of what he expects are Juno's feelings about him. To see what's salvageable, if anything. But he doesn't quite yet.]

Well, I'm not sure it matters if I do. Disappearing here is significantly more difficult.

[And if he can't run, then he can't really pick up a new identity, can he?
