He watches her intently, giving a thoughtful nod when he connects the 'brush' of her tail to the fire that had manifested. (Magic in the ink, or something to that end?) It's fascinating watching the dark droplets dissolve and reform—outside her 'trail' had been temporary too, completely lifted from the snow in a matter of blinks.
...She's delightfully floofy and oh-so warm, like being embraced by sunlight, and he shivers a little as the cold deserts him. He strokes absently at her ears, fingertips tracing carefully along the symbols adorning her fur. ]
