[It's names themselves he blames, not her for being an unspeaking thing. Whether intended or not, she's touched and charmed, and her tail thumps happily against the ground.
When he begins sharing a little of himself, his life growing up, and of his dear friend, she shifts to correct the placement of her head, and peers up at him with her warm, listening golden gaze. There's something very nostalgic and pleasant about hearing about another wolf. DD aside, she hasn't seen another one in... well over two hundred years. But she misses, and remembers them well.
Once he's finished sharing, and in the middle of her sitting up into a slouch, she wonders how he can tell that she is in possession of a name compared to his beautiful companion, who he must miss very much as well. And, having heard that sniffling earlier, she reaches in to groom the spot of nose between eyes and his brows and his cheeks. It's not medicinal, obviously, but it should bring some feeling back to his face. She considers that he can't stay still forever, both because he shouldn't spend all of his time in a realm that isn't real, and because if he doesn't learn to stay moving in the cold, he'll have a harder time in a realer realm. But is it too soon to encourage his legs?
It's not impossible for her to feel cold, but it takes much longer for it to cut through her the way it does for some.]
