Mm...well, two of the vampires I know here, Shell and Reign? _{[Just casually name drops them, no big.]} They can only consume blood and they're not immortal. In fact, they're pretty weak. They also feel really bad about hurting humans, especially Shell. He almost wasted away because he was stubborn and refused to drink any!

Reign and Shell were born vampires. They were never human.

Then there was another vampire, Crowley, but he fell back asleep. _[Lazy.] He saw me kind of like a daughter and he'd try to keep me out of trouble. He was really old - older than me - and I think he only ever drank blood. He was immortal though, for the most part. I think he also used to be human once.

_{[A hand moves to point toward herself with a smile as she straightens up before Mika. She may be shorter than him, but her presence is one that demands respect which thankfully, he's given so far.]}

Chiropterans need human blood to survive, but we can consume other things too. I was born a Chiropteran; only myself and my darling, sweet twin are natural born. The rest of our species has been sired from humans by us, either directly or indirectly. Those who are sired by us are bonded to us for life, especially our Chevalier. We're immortal, in every sense of the word.
