[the sight of the large man seated on the floor makes it very clear to Linneus that he is not in the room he is looking for. Unfortunate for him that when he turns to leave through the door again that he finds the partition closed in his face - but lucky, at least, in that he manages to save himself from walking into it headlong.
It does not seem to reopen, though.
Hailed by the other man, drawing up and turning back to see him surrounded by unusual colourful... well, Linneus isn't entirely sure what they are but he almost speaks to refuse the invitation. Understandable, given his one-too many run-ins with strange liquids and potions. Even if they are creatures - "friendly" creatures... liln were friendly too, until someone made a torture device of them.
Not that this man looks like he'd have a hard time at all, if someone were ever to take it into their head to capture him. Linneus is cautious, though, as he steps over, one hand rising to touch at his hair]
