[ Captain America was a character who sold war bonds, boosted morale, and saved the American Way. But beyond the films and the colourful comics and dancing girls, there was a real soldier and a man who simply wanted to do his best for his country. And whenever Captain America set foot on a battlefield with his Howling Commandos, the boys in the trenches felt like the tide could turn. They could win. They could make it home.

Yes, strange to be in a world that doesn't know that symbol of hope and strength. They just see a refugee with a ridiculously star-spangled shield.
