[ Ana is keeping busy, and she's glad that Jack is there to make the task a little bit easier. Even when doing routine patrols, she isn't alone with her thoughts.

She's generally in agreement with him about the simulation, though she wonders aloud if they should bring along some volunteers - both to share their training and to get an idea of what to expect from inexperienced refugees when they're out in the field. When Jack trails off mid conversation, Ana falls instantly silent, her hand going to her sidearm.

She follows him to the railing. Like Jack, she freezes.

It's one thing to see a the wraith-like creature that Gabriel has become, when so much of him is twisted or entirely unrecognizable to her. It's another thing entirely to see him like this; the way she saw him in her nightmares for years. Gabriel, the friend she had lost for good, one way or another.

She tears her gaze away to meet Jack's. When she puts her hand on his arm, she isn't certain if she's trying to steady him or herself. It takes another moment before she can jar herself back to the present, but she finally shifts the grip on her sidearm and levels it at Gabriel.

She gestures for Jack to go down to him. It's not a far drop, and the noise will be enough of a distraction for her to get a shot off. Even with his back to her, it's never been easy to get the jump on Gabriel. This way, even if she misses, Jack can get in close and Ana can support him. Maybe between them they can contain Gabriel until they figure out what to do with him. ]
