[ peter's a fan of being alive and safe. he's also a fan of his loved ones being alive and safe. but he doesn't love them sleeping in creepy pods in a creepier room like they're in comas, like they could be dead, under someone else's protection. he definitely doesn't love hearing that his planet is just gone, obliterated, every attempt to stop thanos irrelevant. and it's not just about his friends and family. what about mr. delmar and his bodega cat? what about peter's teachers, mr morita? what about every person he's ever met in queens, those he hasn't, all those people under his protection?

peter'd been made into an avenger, had chosen to become a superhero after the spider bite and his uncle, but even when he'd wanted to go be a full-time avenger -- queens had still been there. spider-man without queens is unthinkable. peter parker without spider-man is unthinkable. ms. claire's trying to be reassuring, but --
