( it is an impressive image. that, more than anything, is why thor lingers. there are no real similarities to ragnarok, but it still reminds him -- the destruction, the death and loss. the memory makes his chest hurt and he bows his head and thinks of his mother and father, of his brother, of his planet and so many of his people.
everything they did— only for the storm to consume the nine realms after all. it is another heavy blow in a series of them and while thor's shoulders are still, his single remaining eye is wet. he doesn't let the tears fall. mourning loki is not a new occurrence, but mourning his father, mourning his people, mourning the planet?
he breaks away from the image in the end, moving a little hastily. might be, he accidentally runs into you as he turns. )

( thor is not a small man and his asgardian physiology means that he isn't easily affected by, well, much of anything physical, really. he notices how the temperatures have dropped, but he doesn't seem overly bothered by it for the time being because he isn't.
but he isn't blind, either. (just missing one eye, after all.) he can see that others are much more affected. so, a good-natured smile on his face, he offers: ) I'll keep you warm. ( and opens his arms.
entirely out of the blue, yes. who needs introductions when you can snuggle up to a god? )
