Ein passes the weapon over without hesitation, appearing marginally approving of his present companion. (Though, as is usual for him, it's hard to tell.) As soon as the weapon is in Eugene's hands, he gives his attention over to figuring out which key from the ring unlocks their cell. He is unaccustomed to manual keys, far more familiar with biometric locks and keycards, but he eyes the keyhole and immediately sorts out all the keys too large to fit. He tries the remainder, and on the third try is rewarded with an audible 'click before the cell door swings open.
"I would not let your guard down," he comments, more conversationally than in warning. "Perhaps your assessment is correct, but it is just as likely that the scenario was written with disarming the first guard in mind and they do not wish for us to too well armed for what lies ahead."
