This thing could easily fit his whole head in its mouth, but luckily ("luckily") seems intent on just crushing it wholesale and wiping its claws clean of him. Mikazuki should have learned this is what being a good samaritain leads to, but here he is, fighting instincts stronger than self-preservation.
But it seems like he's not the only stubborn one when he watches small arms go locking around the bear's muzzle. That gets him to look surprised when it just wrenches backwards with some kind of unseen force. Magic...? No. But there's not much time to focus on it. He's up on his feet as soon as the command comes, not needing to be told twice.
Ducking the bear's thrashing, he's at least out from underfoot, and it's distracted enough to not know where he is for a moment. Gathering flame in his hands, physical gobs of it as if whatever fuel he's using has been given solid shape, he takes a sprint towards the animal while it's on its hind legs, standing at least twice his height.
Because he's going to fire-punch this bear in the gut. ]
