I think it could be worth the coin, depending on what I'm carrying and how much is being offered for me to take it there. I get serious when I take the helm though, so I'd pity anyone who tried to mutiny under my watch.
That's sort of the problem actually, no one that I've found so far has any skill in shipbuilding or want to sail. Our kind saviors up here on the station might be able to help that though, I think I remember a promise that I might have my ship or better back if I went along with what they wanted. A clipper though...hadn't thought of that. Might be even better than a caravel.
