We're of similar backgrounds then. Our smugglers and raiders mostly sailed under a general banner, consisting of whoever could afford a decent ship and could wrangle a crew worth their salt in keeping it afloat. Most were decent enough people, but you had the ones better off avoiding who were involved in particularly nasty work. I think it's to be expected with the lawlessness of the sea though.

I was a smuggler myself actually, but they called me many names where I came from. [Putting things lightly to say the least, half of them not meant for pleasant company.] I take it you miss the call of the sea as well then by wanting to be so close to it?
