It's the least I can do. [ He seems to truly believe it too. He's got some very strange ideas of what being a knight actually means, and by god does he bust his ass to follow through on them. ]
It's ancestral, I think. Shanrian's ancestors were exiled from the Olympian Empire. He was raised believing that the Wyvers will one day overthrow the Olympian Empire. And all of this comes from way way back when the great hero of Olympa was killed by someone from Wyver, after that hero had slain one of Wyver's remaining holy dragons. Of course Olympia had also been taking and enslaving the people of Wyver and the people had been murdering Olympians. It's one very large very old grudge. I do know, however, that somewhere, the King has in possession the skull of the great Olympian hero, if you believe the storytellers at their great celebration of killing the man.
[ The beers come and Reinhardt's is...well, Reinhardt size. The tankard is massive. He's going to drink that whole thing without issue, but right now, it's just enough to wet his throat a little. ]
I can't tell you actual strength of numbers. I do know that they both have armies and that they have some pretty strong magic on either side as well as guards and knightryders. So far, there's been no move to march. It's just a lot of saber rattling. In Wyver, it's not been a question of if they'll attack so much as when. However, given what's just happened with a bunch of us, it stands to reason that things might change for the worse very soon.
