Why would an ironborn mute who helped take Winterfell try to explain what happened to the Starks' most powerful vassal?
(( It's no doubt that Wex is trying to help the ironborn, and in particular Theon, being his squire, but it's a unique case that clearing the ironborn - and Theon - of the one thing they did not do will help unite the north against the Boltons . . . and King's Landing. Hopefully, anyway. ))
Wex did not just escaped. He followed one of the Stark boys, when they split up. He knows where he is. I am meant to bring him back.
