They're something he enjoys indulging in, yes, but he only really needs mana to survive -- and even then ... he can survive for quite some time without it, due to his class. It's more a concern if he keeps using his Gate. He'll need to find a Master sooner or later if he hopes to fight.

But he doesn't feel the need to get into that with Reinhardt. ]
