Okay, I don't actually know the canon, but from what I know of it we see Richie as a kid and then again as an adult. If he hadn't gone through all those ordeals as a kid, do you think he would be a very different adult? How so, if so?

Okay stupid question but why is he Ocelot.

oh my god I never actually thought that much about this like an awful person but... there's two options

when he was super young, he probably saw an ocelot in captivity at some point and was impressed at how such a small animal in held its own and developed a deep respect for the most adorable of wildcats. so he named the special forces unit he got to command after it, and also took it on as a codename since that was HIS THING.

or... the Ocelot Unit was a thing beforehand and when he was promoted to its commander he just liked "ocelot" and decided to make it his permafursona

God help us all, he lost it to a boy at school, out in the woods, while they were skipping math class. Another Vor boy, naturally, about a year older than him and a lot more knowledgeable about things, and Byerly was insanely in love with him for at least two years afterwards and would get moony and heartachey when his name was mentioned. It ended pleasantly but, obviously, inconsequentially.
