Still, they're intact, and it's a roof over their heads, which is decidedly more than they had mere minutes ago. It's enough to keep them from freezing to death, which is really the only thing that matters.

As long as there's no monsters nesting in one of the bedroom, at least, but so far, there's not even the skittering footsteps of a mouse, nothing stirring at the sound of their voices.

It should be safe enough, and Cain returns Vane's grin with one of his own as he shakes snow from his hair and clothes. ]
