[Scooping up cat dumps isn't the most glamorous of jobs, but it's quick and it's easy, and Zer0 has it over and done with as soon as he finds a fresh pile. Sure, it's gross, but getting that out of the way frees him up for the slightly more interesting job of retrieving a blood sample. Not being allowed to kill these things was probably going to add a certain degree of difficulty to the whole job, but maybe the extra bit of challenge would make this more entertaining. Maybe.
Probably not, but the hunt was on regardless. Pro: Fresh critter poop = fresh critter tracks, and Zer0 isn't too far from one of their caves. Con: He's stuck carrying a bag of poop around for a while. It could be worse, though. He could be carrying poop around and have some chucklehead roll in and interrupt him while he's sneaking up on a cave full of sleeping Kleps. He's got stealth down to an art, but it's only going to get him so far if someone decides to drop in on him all "HEYOOO".

[Look if you're gonna be stuck on a crazyass space station, you might as well explore the shit out of the place. It is pretty badass, after all. Aside from the whole world ending thing, but you can't win 'em all right?
Zer0's adventure trek has brought him to the Stasis Unit, and it's every bit as creepy as he expected it to be. He's way more curious than he is creeped out, though. Who wouldn't come in and start browsing through frozen bodies just to see who's here? Maybe Zer0's actually the creepy thing here, let's be honest. Whoever's around to chat may just think so.]
