It's more rough than her last awakening from Stasis. Closer to when she was jolted out of cryo, back on the boat. She was woken up too soon then, too. At least this time, she knows where she is, roughly. She's not sure why she went back to sleep, but her first thought is to get back to her friends.
Only -- only her crew lies next to her, haphazard, positioned oddly from their fall out of their pods. "Simon?" She runs to her brother first, shaking him, and then taking him into her arms with a concerned expression, smoothing his hair back from his face. "Come on, gēgē. Time to wake up now. Like you told me, remember? Time to wake up."
II. Thesa: Observation Room
She's reminded, oddly, startlingly, of Miranda. Of the woman's last message before she was attacked. The flickering holograph sends her mind back to that moment and she freezes before forcing herself back to the present.
Delicately, River reaches a hand out to touch the black cloud that moves across the stars. "Devouring them," she says softly to herself.
III. Nadril: Central Hub
The message from Nurray holds no interest for River; she has a tenuous enough grasp on this reality, she'd rather not venture into virtual ones. So she heads instead for familiar places. The Hub, at least, she knows, and she makes a steady circuit from place to place within the Hub. Searching for familiar faces.
